It’s that time of the year. Time for Q3 alternative income update. Let’s go.
Total income for Q3 came up to SGD$2,831.62. This time round, most of these sources of income are passive income from TradFi sources.
USD FD/Bank Interest
As usual, because of the high interest rate environment, I have been parking my idle USD in DBS’s USD FD. They are yielding at 4%-ish, together with my cash in my bank account.
Ad Revenue
Income from this has sort of maintained around USD$20-ish each month. I have been trying something different on another site of of mine. Will have to wait and see if this source of income will increase over time.
Bonds
I have build up a SSB ladder, so that I get income every month. So this is coming along quite nicely. I will be redeeming some of the lower yield bonds, in exchange for the higher yield ones.
Dividends
I have been building my income portfolio. You can view the latest portfolio update. More than half of this quarter’s income came from the bank stocks that I’m holding. I’m contemplating if I should increase my REITs holding, given that REITs just went on sale the past few weeks.
All in all, I’m grateful for this alternative income. Looking forward to Q4.
