My Portfolio as of 2019

—

2 1/2 weeks more to end of 2019!

Where did the time go? I have absolutely no idea. It’s just crazy how the year just past by.

That said, this blog is almost 1 year old! I have written 21 post so far! No bad, it’s better than expected.

Let’s do a comparison of my portfolio

  • Singtel – I didn’t like how 40% of my dividend was coming from Singtel, so i reduced my position in it.
  • Frasers Property – I sold 1/3 of my position in it when it went up to a high of $1.91
  • HKLand – I increased my position on this when it drop to a low of $5.59(not the lowest i know)
  • Manulife Reits – there was a rights issue recently, which i subscribed to and applied a tiny bit of excess rights
  • Fraser H Trust – Closed my position on this, as its DPU is on a decline
  • Fraser Centrepoint Trust – my profit on this were up almost 50% and it made sense to take partial profit on it. But look at the difference in value even though i sold some of it.
  • OCBC, DBS – I added more banks as the price were kind of attractive
  • the rest of the newly added position – i just wanted more diversification in my portfolio (i probably should have just bought a STI ETF i know)

I’ve generated a total of $8,051.49 from dividend for the year. This is up from $5,500 last year. Wooohooo!

Overseas Portfolio

Stock Name% Portfolio (2018)Value (SGD) at 2018
FX rate 1.377
% Portfolio (2019)Current Value (SGD)
FX rate 1.353515
Exxon Mobil Corporation45.92%$2,914.060.00%$0.00
Vanguard Energy ETF54.08%$3,432.0313.98%$3,212.70
Vanguard Growth ETF10.50%$2,413.72
iShares Core MSCI World UCITS ETF36.53%$8,395.85
Autowealth39.00%$8,964.00
Total100.00%$6,346.10100.00%$22,986.28

I’ve decided to do away with individual stocks for overseas portfolio, and focus more on ETFs. This portfolio is more for growth, rather than dividend, so i did not bother to track the amount of dividend I received.

So as you can see, i have continue to invest, even though, this year, market is on all time high. Will we see a crash in 2020? It’s anybody’s guess. But then, Time in market is better than timing the market.
